My Hawaiian friend first showed me this recipe, and we've been eating it regularly since!

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks, drained (reserve juice)
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
