- 1 fresh lemon
- 1 tablespoon of salt (sea salt or table salt)
- Warm water (for soaking)
- A bowl or basin
Instructions:
- Prepare the Soak:
- Fill a bowl or basin with warm water deep enough to cover your feet.
- Squeeze the juice of 1 fresh lemon into the water and stir it well.
- Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the water and stir until dissolved.
- Soak Your Feet:
- Soak your feet in the lemon and salt solution for 15-20 minutes. This will soften the nails and allow the antifungal properties to penetrate the infected areas.
- Make sure the affected toenail(s) are fully submerged in the solution.
- Scrub the Affected Area:
- After soaking, you can gently scrub the affected toenail with a soft toothbrush or nail brush to help remove dead skin and debris around the nail.
- You can also rub a slice of fresh lemon directly on the affected nail for extra lemon juice and its antifungal benefits.
- Dry and Repeat:
- After the soak, thoroughly dry your feet, especially around the nails. Fungus thrives in moist environments, so keeping your feet dry is essential for preventing further growth.
- Repeat this treatment daily for best results. Consistency is key when dealing with nail fungus.
