- Prepare the Garlic:
- Crush or mince one garlic clove to release the allicin, which has the antifungal properties necessary to treat the infection.
- Mix with Lemon Juice:
- Combine the crushed garlic with 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice in a small bowl. The acidity of the lemon will help dry out the nails, reduce sweating, and further enhance the antifungal effects.
- Optional: Add Olive Oil:
- If your nails are dry or brittle, you can add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the mixture. Olive oil will help to moisturize your nails and cuticles while still allowing the lemon and garlic to do their work.
- Application:
- Soak a cotton ball in the mixture and apply it directly to the affected nails. Ensure the mixture covers the entire nail surface and cuticle.
- Let the mixture sit on your nails for 10-15 minutes.
- Rinse off with warm water and dry thoroughly.
- Repeat:
- For best results, apply this treatment 2-3 times a day until the fungus clears and the excessive sweating reduces. Depending on the severity of the infection, this could take several weeks of consistent use.
